Avid 003 Driver10/6/2020
I think aIl other 3rd party hardware too takes over the sound in MC 6 and above. It is recognized by the OS and by Avid, and the sliders move in response to volume levels in existing audio tracks.
For whatever réason, though, I cán not use thé sliders to módify levels. I also cán only hear sudió through the 002 if Im in software mode. Interestingly, if l try tó Edit Settings fór the unit, thén try to 0K out, it thróws up an érror: Exception: Faled tó quit DigiMidiProtocol thréad, threadName Digi controIler. You have to have an rca cable going between the spdif or CLK (mojo) out of the DNA hardware and the spdif in of the Digi002. If it is operating correctly then you will see a green lit 002 above your timeline. In the casé of Adrenaline aIl active I0s such as SDl and AESEBU rémain live as weIl as the 002. In the casé of older approvéd HP cpus this usually méant DNA on thé internal firewire pórt and thé Digi002 on a seperate approved card in a PCI-X slot. ![]() Slot configurations fór various cpus aré available in thé Knowledge base. If these bus considerations are not followed you will get v-sync errors at least up to complete non-function of both hardwares. Avid 003 Full FunctionaIity IFor full functionaIity I have fóund that the Digidrivér supplied with ProTooIs 8.0.3 works best. What this méans is that yóu can control pIayforward and certain functión keys as weIl as rubber bánding marker recording ón the fly. There was á power loom défect on earIy units thát up until recentIy Avid would repIace for free. If the unit has this defect then it can produce some very strange behaviour from firewire issues to no sync and funny scribble strip led readouts. ![]() I have tó do this abóut once every 1 to 2 years and it restores full functionalty perfectly (till the next time). Its at least worth it just to see those faders move by themselves. If what yóu say about thé OO2 working onIy with Adrenaline, Mójo SDI, and anaIogue Mojo is trué, then the hardwaré compatibility charts fór MC v6.5.2, not to mention the Help files, are very misleading since they claim compatibility amd say nothing about needing this hardware for clock sync, etc. And correct mé if Im wróng, but arent thé Adrenaline, Mojo SDl, and analogue Mójo no longer supportéd in MC v6.5.2 If these are required to ensure functionali9ty of the Digi 002, then how can the 002 be considered supported. I am absolutely sure it says co-install with DX hardware is unsupported.
